Neon Slipstream

Neon Slipstream is pure arcade racing, no simulation nonsense, just neon tracks and a wonderful blur of speed. You pick tilt steering or on-screen buttons, and both are viable. I stuck with touch controls because trains and tilt don't get along.

Tracks are short enough to fit a spare few minutes, which is exactly what I want from a mobile racer. The handling is forgiving, drifting is easy to trigger, and boosting feels great. It's not deep, but it doesn't pretend to be.

This one warms the phone faster than anything else on this list. Twenty minutes and I could feel it. Turning down the frame rate cap in settings helped and I barely noticed the difference visually. Charge it if you plan a long stint.
